KEEPING THINGS FRESH FOR LOCAL TALENT.
Fruit Trade Music is the recording studio of Mikey Scott, Musician and Producer.
Feeling the local scene was ready for a different style of recording studio, he provides enthusiastic support to bands, solo artists and anyone with a passion to perform and record.
With the 2017 UK City of Culture focussing attention on Hull, Mikey is playing his part in what many see as a new wave of appreciation of Hull’s long standing musical talent.
“I absolutely love recording. I’ve had the privilege of working with many regional bands. I try to give a fun approach to it, and make sure of course that you sound the best you can! Whether you want tracking days to make full productions of your songs, live days, the recording of single instruments or vocals, mixing or mastering, it’s all possible here. Get in touch and I can show how it all goes down.”
“There is one hireable practice room, with drum kit shells, 2 guitar amplifiers, bass amp and PA, open 7-11.00 pm on an evening costing £25.
The recording room sometimes doubles up as a practise room too, but bring your own gear for this one!
There is a rentable practice room upstairs, with a kitchen, storage, and a chillout room. This can be rented on a monthly basis where you get your own key, for use between 6-11.00pm on an evening. There is limited availability! Only 5 bands can use it so every band definitely gets a practise a week!”
“One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain!” Bob Marley
